We thought it may be an idea for you to see who you'll be speaking to when you call us or so that you don't get too much of a shock when you come in the shop and meet us in person! So here we are, two Sarahs (known to have been distinguished as blond / dark, Sarah 1 / Sarah 2, younger / older (that's what her mother calls us)), one Fairy Godmother, Pat and our smiley Saturday girl, Meghan.

People often say, "You have my dream job, I've always wanted to own a book shop." And I'd have to agree! It pretty much involves everything I enjoy... books, shopping (for the shop), being creative, talking, laughing, event planning, meeting all sorts of people, surrounding myself with lovely things, talking, laughing...

A book is nothing without a person to read it - and why do they read them? Thousands of reasons; from the mundane, intriguing, poignant and hilarious to the downright bizarre, and that's the joy - people and books. That, and helping with the creative spin-off that emanates from the whirlwind that is Mrs Woolley, ensures that no two days are the same and why I love working at Bay Tree.

I am the 'Fairy Godmother'! Stepping in when my magic wand is required, I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to combine my love of books and meeting customers with whom I can exchange recommendations for a "really good read".

My mum said to me when I first started working here, "You'll get nothing done!" and I must admit, it's hard not to pick up a book and delve into it. Bay Tree is just the most fantastic place to spend my Saturdays.
